The government has outlined a plan to create 4.5-6 crore jobs in the textile sector by 2030, aiming to expand the market size to USD 350 billion from USD 165 billion. Union Minister Giriraj Singh announced investments of Rs 70,000 crore in seven mega textile parks, creating 21 lakh jobs and promoting Make in India initiatives.
