The MMRDA has presented a revised draft development plan for the Backbay Reclamation Scheme, focusing on slum rehabilitation, metro projects, and natural features. The plan includes a marina for tourism and new legislative buildings. An access-controlled highway connecting key cities to Mumbai is also proposed.
