India's third home-built 700 MWe nuclear power reactor has achieved criticality and is set to start commercial electricity generation soon. This reactor, part of the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project in Rawatbhata, marks a significant milestone for NPCIL, which currently operates 24 reactors and has several more under construction.
