The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the continuation of two umbrella schemes under the Department of Biotechnology, merged into 'Bio-RIDE'. The scheme aims to foster innovation and bio-entrepreneurship with a proposed outlay of Rs 9197 crore from 2021-22 to 2025-26, focusing on biomanufacturing and environmental sustainability.
