The Department of Telecommunications has identified 36 telecom products for revised public procurement norms, mandating over 50% local content. The new rules aim to boost local value addition and Make in India. Stakeholders can comment within 15 days. These norms apply to all government and state-run bodies, including projects funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund.
