Hindustan Zinc Ltd has supplied zinc for India's heaviest transmission steel pole structure, weighing over 200 metric tonnes. The 400 kV dual pole structure, standing approximately 57 meters tall, is part of the Pinnapuram Integrated Renewable Energy with Storage Project in Andhra Pradesh. The galvanization process used Hindustan Zinc's high-grade zinc ingots.
