India is emerging as a major semiconductor manufacturing hub, with collaborations from the US, EU, UK, Japan, and Singapore. Pilot facilities by Micron and Tata Electronics have already rolled out chips, and their main plants in Gujarat will start production by late 2025. The government has approved projects worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
