The government plans to establish a special purpose vehicle to advance aircraft manufacturing in India, according to Union Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu. Speaking at a conference, Naidu highlighted efforts to initiate aircraft manufacturing within the next five years. India is among the fastest growing civil aviation markets globally.
