The Indian Railways has scheduled hundreds of special trains to accommodate the surge of passengers during upcoming festivals like Diwali, Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, and Chhath Puja. Southern Railway and Konkan Railway will operate several weekly and daily specials in September, October, and November, with advance reservations now open.
