Starting next month, Indian consumers may experience disruptions in receiving service and transactional messages due to a new directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Telcos must block non-whitelisted messages to combat spam. Banks and financial institutions need to register their message content by August 31 to avoid being blocked.
