Reliance Industries Ltd announced its intent to commission its first solar giga-factory within the current fiscal year, planning an initial 20GW solar PV capacity by end of 2024-25. This would be part of efforts to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2035, involving facilities for renewables and battery storage, aiming at reducing import reliance.
