The Calcutta High Court has temporarily barred Parle Biscuits from using the marks ‘Top Gold’ and ‘Top Goldstar’ following a complaint by Saj Foods Products. The court found that Parle's use of these marks constituted an unfair practice. Parle is allowed to use the term 'Top' alone. The order remains effective until August 27.
