Vedanta Ltd secured two critical mineral blocks in Karnataka and Bihar after being declared the preferred bidder for the Gollarahatti-Mallenahalli Nickel Chromium and PGE Block and Genjana Nickel, Chromium and PGE Block. The blocks were put on sale by the mines ministry, with one at G4 level of exploration and the other at G3 level. These acquisitions came in the second and third rounds of critical minerals blocks auctions.
