Government has denied an extension to BSNL CMD P K Purwar, who has been in office since July 2019. The Department of Telecom may assign the additional charge to Robert J Ravi, a seasoned Indian Telecom Service officer and Deputy Director General, who earlier served as BSNL's additional general manager for six years.
