Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has instructed PESO to develop safety guidelines for petrol pumps to operate near residential areas, offered concessions for women entrepreneurs and MSMEs, and chaired a meeting to boost PESO's efficiency. He emphasised formulating guidelines in collaboration with CPCB and MoPNG, QR codes for cylinders, and potentially extending licence durations. Stakeholder feedback will inform further committee decisions to streamline regulatory processes.
