GAIL plans to double capacity at its Dabhol LNG terminal

By Economic Times - 7 months ago
GAIL plans to increase Dabhol LNG terminal capacity to 12 mtpa by 2030 to meet rising gas demand. The government aims for 15% natural gas share by 2030, leading to potential growth in LNG terminals. The Dabhol terminal has a nameplate capacity of 5 mtpa but operates at about 2.9 mtpa as it remains idle during the monsoon season. The company is building a breakwater infrastructure, which will help the terminal operate also during monsoon.
