Vi eyes 40% of revenues from 5G in over two years

In its presentation, the telecom JV between UK's Vodafone and India's Aditya Birla Group, said its delayed entry into the country's next-gen wireless broadband turf would help it access the latest advances in 5G technology in a cost-efficient way. It added that 90% of its radio gear is already 5G-ready. Another strategic focus is refarming its airwaves in the 900 MHz and 2100 MHz bands as part of plans to expand the telco's 4G coverage in its 17 priority markets.
