Peak power demand in India is expected to rise by seven percent year-on-year to 260 GW this summer, with the previous year's peak touching 243 GW against a projection of 229 GW. Despite estimations, last year's demand didn't meet projections due to unseasonal rainfall. However, peak supply reached a new high of 224.1 GW in June before declining.
