ARCIL buys Saraswat's NPAs at 86% haircut

Avenue Capital-backed Asset Reconstruction Company (India) has bought nearly ₹400 crore worth of bad loans or non-performing assets (NPAs) from Saraswat Bank, resulting in an 86% haircut. The bank sold the NPA portfolio, including retail and MSME loans, as a clean-up for future growth capital.
