Karnataka budget: Govt to tweak duties on liquor, beer to be competitive with neighbouring states

To safeguard revenues and prevent trade diversion to neighboring states, the Karnataka government plans to adjust duty rates for Indian Made Liquor (IML) across its 18 slabs. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced intentions to rationalize tax slabs and maintain competitiveness with neighboring states in his budget speech
