JSW Steel and JFE Steel Corporation are establishing a joint venture in Bellary, Karnataka, with an investment of 5,500 crore rupees. The facility, named JSW JFE Electrical Steel, will produce grain oriented electrical steel, targeting to commence production in 2026-27. This venture aims to cater to the growing domestic demand for this specialized steel, crucial for energy-efficient transformers. It will be the first company in India to have complete manufacturing of such products.
