Flying start for first-timers taking to skies

By Economic Times - 10 months ago
India saw about 30 million first-time fliers in 2023, with factors such as increasing personal income levels, new airports and routes, and growing popularity of short holidays contributing to the trend. Market leader IndiGo recorded a 36% year-on-year surge in first-time flyers, while low-cost Akasa Air noted that about 10% of its passengers are first-time flyers.
