JSW Energy puts solar panel manufacturing plan on hold

JSW Renewable Technologies, a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy, was allocated a performance-linked incentive (PLI) for quoted manufacturing capacity of 1 gw wafer+cell+module in March last year. The company planned to backward integrate and de-risk its supply chain to aid its growth plans. The strategic intent was to use this capacity for captive consumption in building renewable energy projects by JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary
