The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced the 'One Vehicle, One FASTag' initiative to improve the efficiency of the electronic toll collection system. The initiative discourages using a single FASTag for multiple vehicles or linking multiple FASTags to a particular vehicle.
