In calendar year 2023, India's domestic air passenger traffic grew by 8.34% year-on-year, reaching 15.20 crore. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data revealed that the total domestic passenger volumes for the year ending December 31, 2022, were 12.32 crore. For December 2023 alone, domestic air passenger traffic increased by 23.36%, reaching 1.37 crore, compared to 1.27 crore in December 2022.
