Oil prices rise 2% after US, Britain strikes in Yemen

Oil prices rose 2% as the US and Britain conducted strikes on Houthi military targets in Yemen. The strikes were in response to Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. Brent crude futures were up 2% at $78.94 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were 2.1% higher at $73.55. Witnesses in Yemen confirmed explosions throughout the country.
