Explainer | Average Maturity: A key metric for debt investors

By Economic Times - a week ago
Average maturity is the average time it takes for bonds in a mutual fund to fully mature and repay investors. It reflects the overall duration of the fund's bond holdings. A fund with a longer average maturity holds longer-term bonds, while a fund with a shorter average maturity holds shorter-term bonds.
