BJP candidate Swarupji Thakor secured victory in the Vav assembly constituency bypoll, defeating Congress rival Gulabsinh Rajput by a margin of 2,442 votes. This win increases the BJP's tally to 162 seats in the 182-member Gujarat assembly.
