SUBIC BAY FREEPORT: The Bureau of Customs (BoC)-Port of Subic gave citations to deputy collectors, division heads, chiefs, and employees, including contract of service workers, during its Taunang Parangal (Annual Awards) on Monday, January 29.
Plaques of commendation and certificates of appreciation were handed out to individuals in recognition to their dedication and outstanding contributions to the agency in 2023.
Led by district collector Ciriaco Ugay, the ceremony showcased the commitment and hard work of port personnel and acknowledged their unwavering dedication that significantly contributed to the operational success and the surpassing of the 2023 collection target.
The presence of engineer Eduardo Jose Aliño, the newly appointed chairman and administrator of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, added special significance to the event as it emphasized the collaborative efforts between the BoC-Port of Subic and SBMA in achieving excellence.
Ugay also acknowledged the contributions of previous district collectors Maritess Martin and Carmelita Talusan.
"Let us make 2024 another great year of accomplishments as directed by our new secretary of Finance which tasked the Bureau of Finance which the bureau is tasked to collect one trillion pesos for the government. Our cooperation, hard work, and dedication will fuel our drive towards success," Ugay said.
The awarding ceremony also underscores the Port of Subic's commitment in recognizing and celebrating its team's exceptional contributions, setting a high standard for excellence in service and operational efficiency.
The event marks a momentous occasion as the Port of Subic continues to be a key player in driving the growth and success of the Subic Port inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
