Hackers steal $17 mln from Uganda central bank - state paper

Offshore hackers identifying themselves as "Waste" stole 62 billion Ugandan shillings ($16.8 million) from Uganda's central bank by accessing its IT systems and transferring the funds, some of which went to Japan. President Yoweri Museveni has ordered an investigation, while a significant portion of the funds has been recovered. Insider collusion is suspected.
