The Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Punjab is set to release the first prototype of the Vande Metro coach for intercity travel by April 2021. The train, designed on the concept of India's first indigenous semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat, will cater to intercity passengers covering up to 250 km.
