By Manila Times - 10 months ago

MANILA, Philippines: The easterlies, winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and carry warm and humid weather, have resurfaced and are affecting the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

On the other hand, the northeast monsoon or "amihan" is bringing overcast skies with light rains in Cagayan Valley and Aurora, weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

She said it is also affecting the Ilocos and Cordillera Administrative Region where partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be likely in the next 24 hours.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
